Permonite Manufacturing Company Founded


Permonite Manufacturing Company was founded in Morocco, Indiana as manufacturer of stamped metal and plastic components and assemblies for consumer electronics.

1960

 

Developed Insert Molding

Developed "insert molding" with insert molded CRT sockets for consumer electronics.

1968

 

Entered automotive industry as Ford supplier of precision mechanical assemblies.

1980

 

General Motors Preferred Supplier

Selected by General Motors as a preferred supplier of precision insert molded components and assemblies.

1983

 

Implemented vertical integration strategy

Changed name to The Intec Group, Inc. Acquired Cardinal Tool and Manufacturing Company to expand integrated metal stamping capabilities with rapidly expanding insert molding operations.

1985

 

GM Sole Source

Launched production as sole source supplier to GM of lead frame interconnect module for their first distributor-less ignition systems

1986

 

Launched Total Quality Management (TQM) strategy

Launched Total Quality Management (TQM) strategy and retained services of American Supplier Institute (ASI) and Dr. Genichi Taguchi

1989

 

Initial Globalization Strategy

Developed initial globalization strategy and executed joint venture with UK firm.

1993

 

Acquired New Metrics, Inc.

Acquired New Metrics, Inc., a leading provider of concurrent engineering capability, CAD/CAE/CAM services and in-house rapid turn around prototype.

1995

 

Formed UK Strategic Alliance

Formed strategic alliance with UK company to consolidate metal stamping operations.

Began Production in Singapore

Intec begins production operations in Singapore Southeast Asia.       

1996

 

QS9000 Palatine Illinois

Received QS9000 registration at Palatine Illinois; Morocco, Indiana and Singapore facilities.

2001

 

Began production in Tianjin, China

The Intec Group begins production in Tianjin, China facilities.                                                                                    

2002

 

QS9000 and ISO Tianjin, China. Formed AI Technologies

Received QS9000 and ISO registrations at Tianjin, China plant. 2002 - Formed AI Technologies in Palatine, IL, expanding Intec's global solutions to include certified minority business enterprise

2003

 

Intec Mexico

Began build-out of Mexico operation to serve the global door systems customers

2004

 

Shanghai China, Intec Mexico, Delphi Award

Began production in Shanghai China. Achieved QS9000 registration at Guaymas, Mexico facility. Received Delphi Certificate of Excellence Award.

2005

 

Global Molding Alliance

Formed Global Molding Alliance (GMA) with industry leading molders in Europe and across the globe.

AI Technologies Top 25

Intec's AI Technologies subsidiary named one of Delphi's "Top 25 Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Companies".
